Growing Champions Academy was born from a belief that children’s sport should be about more than performance. It should help children enjoy being active, build confidence and develop skills that support them beyond the session itself.
Our coaching combines sporting development with a strong understanding of how children learn and grow. All staff are DBS checked, safeguarding trained and appropriately trained for the sessions they deliver.
Meet Our Founder / Head coach
                                      Joe Tousent
I’m a parent, Headteacher and PE teacher with a lifelong passion for helping children grow through sport. Alongside my career in education, I’m an FA-qualified football coach and ECB-qualified cricket coach, giving me experience across both teaching and grassroots sport.
I created Growing Champions Academy to bring those two worlds together, combining high-quality coaching with a strong understanding of child development. My aim is to create a positive, family-friendly environment where children can build confidence, character, teamwork and sporting skills, while developing a genuine love of being active.
For me, success isn’t just about producing better players, it’s about helping children become confident, resilient and happy young people.
